The Credit Card Accountability, Responsibility and Disclosure or Credit Card Act is now in full force. Will this Act help the consumer with its battle with credit card debt? Although these laws went into effect on Monday, February 22, 2010 many consumer will not see a lot of changes in with their personal credit card debt situation. Yes, credit card companies must give you more notice before increasing your rate, but they can still do it. Yes, you have more notice before your bill is due, but you still must pay it.
