W.O.W. Conversations -Dealing With Change

W.O.W. ask, "How do you deal with CHANGE when you want things to stay the same?"

What do you do when change knocks on your door? Most aren't ready for it, don't want it, and hiding from it. Did you think the housing market, economy, your job
, relationship, and/or financial status would change.

(Click on the link above to a previous broadcast about CHANGE, only 15 minutes)

A Forclosure Doesn't Make You A Failure, Just Like Filing Bankruptcy Doesn't Make You Bad!

Some people are struggling with the guilt of making poor decision in their past. I can truly understand and sympathize with those thoughts, however when we as humans make mistakes we have to learn how to forgive ourselves just like we would forgive others.

It sounds simple enough but people are taking their lives because they feel like they have let their family down or brought dishonor to the "family name". Enough already, it is not necessary to beat yourself up over a few bad choices.

I had to turn off the television yesterday and gain a positive perspective about the world around me. One thing I've noticed is that if I continue to watch the news including all the commercials it does something negative to m psyche. Often times than not it is bombarding me with negative images and stories, until my world seems exactly that "bad".

Try not to focus on the negativity around you. Turn the TV off and pick up a book. If you want to learn more about moving forward, order my audio book the 10 Keys To Unlocking The Safe To The Trapped Mind.

W.O.W. Conversations Topic:Downsizing Out Of Debt & Kids & Money

When clients come to me in total distress regarding their financial situation, they are ready to do just about anything I suggest to improve their dilemma. But I've noticed that after helping them through the "hurricane" moment they return to the very same behaviors that caused them to need my services in the first place. Kids and Money-Now that our children have returned to school from break, I can't help but wonder if we are preparing them for the financial responsibilities they will be facing? We cannot continue to use silence when it comes to money while our children walk into our crazy financial world.

In Marriage and Money, "Do I have To Give Up Me For We"?

Being a Couple Financial Coach, I get ask this question time and time again, especially when I am dealing with a more mature couple (over 30-years old) or a couple entering into a second marriage.

I get into long debates with traditional "Christian" women that swears that all the money should go into one pot and the "my money" becomes our money.  Unfortunately most men don't see things that way, or better yet the person that makes more money doesn't see things like that.

My now ex-husband and I tried in the beginning of our marriage to put all our money in one checking account, but soon it got ugly.  I wanted to know why he spent so much on video games and crazy items that meant nothing to me.

I can honestly say that money wasn't the reason for our marriage ending and we are still on friendly terms.  But money is in the top five reasons for divorce.  I would have probably been in the statistic if we hadn't used the "You, Me, and We" method.

Basically, we were able to keep our individual accounts while creating both a join checking and savings for our household expense and future goals.

If you would like to know more, go to our contact page and enter "You, Me and We" method.
